 moral panics - Stanley Cohen (1972 )

in gta 5 there are negative views of women like sexism and prostition which might make people believe that this is how society is which would negatively effect and there is racist language with that might influence people

hypodermic syringe ( adorno / Packard ) ( 1979

there is a mission in gta 5 where torcher is glorified and made the player commit the torching which could influence others to commit the copy the actions in real life and cause harm to others or themselves

desensitisation ( Craig Anderson 2007 )

there is a lot of violence in gta 5 with being able to kill any person you want and get rewarded for it in a mission if you kill someone you get money for it which will desensitise people to violence and if they see it they might not react in the way they should to it

cultivation theory ( mean world syndrome - Gerber and gross ( 1979)

there is lots of vilance in gta 5 with your character being able to choose from a lot of different weapons with guns knifes to kill anyone in any way which will make it the norm for people to have weapons and killing people with no conscience

Tim O'Sullivan et al. (1998)

all representations therefore have ideologies behind them

ideology = set of views and beliefs that we all recognise

 British

Aston Martin DB5 which is a classic car made from 1963-1965 with it also being an incredibly rare car with only 300 left from production and in this film also very British

audience should question the representation they see in media texts

if sterotipcal or changed mention

steroidal

there is also the “male gaze” which has the effect on the audience that this woman is sexualised at the start of this film the gender roles for “James” and “Madilen” are very classic gender roles

challenged

there is a person of colar in a role of power being a spy too is shown from a low angle

Laura mulvey (1975)

In no time to die Madlyn is seen wearing little clothes at the start of the film when she is swimming in Italy this connotates about how Laura Mulrey (1975) said that women in films are “sexualised”
